Eni, Libya
Drilling Fluids
Midgard team drilled a High Pressure High temperature (HPHT) well in the Mediterranean Sea with total well depth of 6,400m with 42 Deg maximum inclination. Highest temperature recorded at 300 deg F Highest pressure recorded at 11,900 PSI Max Mud Weight 15ppg Three mud system were used on the well, High performance WBM for the top section, HT WBM for the intermediate section and Ester Base SBM for the production.

Midgard team drilled a deep water well with water depth of 1,700m . The top hole was drilled using a dynamic kill drilling system due to the shallow gas risks. The following sections were drilled using with Flat Reology SBM, a specially formulated mud for this campaign.

Midgard have drilled shallow and Deep OMB wells for Petronas in various locations around the world. Most recently and over the last 12 years Midgard have drilled all OBM related wells for Petronas in Turkmenistan (Caspian). Midgard have used our own in Company designed OBM systems for the Petronas Campaigns. During this period, Midgard have also provided all Solids control, containment and handling and Treatment and disposal services including thermal Desorption. The maximum mud weight has been 19.2ppg with an average mud weight of circa 14.8ppg. Average well depth of 4200 meters. Midgard are the only service company operating within Turkmenistan who have drilled OBM wells. Midgard have also planned, constructed and commissioned Petronas with a new 10,000bbl LMP with Bulk plant and its own power source. Midgard have delivered and ran for Petronas a new Landfill site for the storage of processed solids from the Thermal Desorption plant. Midgard is currently supporting Petronas jack operations offshore Turkmenistan.

Midgard have drilled shallow and Deep Water based wells for Dragon Oil (Subsidiary of Dubai Gov. Co ENOC) in Turkmenistan (Caspian Sea). Most recently and over the last 10 years Midgard have supported a 4 offshore Rig operation supply all services including solids control, Containment and handling and treatment and disposal. Midgard have used our own in Company designed water based mud systems in support of Dragon. The maximum mud weight has been 18.6 ppg with an average mud weight of circa 14.5ppg. Average well depth of 4400 meters. Midgard pride 2 x warehouses with a full lab support network in support of Dragon offshore Operations.

Midgard have drilled most recently in support of ENI Turkmenistan shallow OBM wells. The mud systems have been specially designed based on client requirements. During this period, Midgard also provided all Solids control, containment and handling and Treatment and disposal services. The maximum mud weight has been 15.2ppg with an average mud weight of circa 12.8ppg. Average well depth of 3500 meters. Midgard are currently providing a service for ENI in support of 3 onshore Rigs.
